Tranquil Guest Bedroom

Project Overview:

Challenges for the interior designer

This bedroom was originally used as an office in the past with dated green carpet and a fluorescent light fixture overhead. It was a sunny space with a nice wide window, but it was hard to see the potential of the space.

How Cassy made a welcoming space

Cassy Young used a beautiful transitional headboard with tufting and nail head trim. Plush bedding in a warm grey texture mixed with ivory, grey and gold pair beautifully with the shimmering wallpaper behind the bed. A dresser and nightstand in the same light wood tone, pairs well with a zinc topped side table. Mercury glass lamps with silk shades near the bed contrast with pewter toned lamps on the dresser. Stationary drapery panels in grey cut velvet bring more softness to the space. Gold finishes on the faceted round mirror and chandelier are the finishing touches in the welcoming space.

Now this is a beautiful guest bedroom that visitors will never want to leave.
